The Spread in Penny Stocks

August 30th, 2007

As we knew there is no single price at penny stocks so we have to find the difference between prices at penny stocks, why we do this? We do this to make sure that we are in the positive side not in the negative side.

The difference between the bid and the ask price is called the spread. The spread of many penny stocks are usually around 25-33% but can often be 50-100% or even more.

How did you know that the spread is in your favor or not?

The spread can be shown that you “built in loss” when you invest your money in penny stocks because most investors when they bought a stock at 12 cent, they believed that they will sell it at least at 12 cent and this is wrong thought because you have to take into account the cost of your trade such as the transaction fee, your broker fee and etc …

A large spread can make a trade very expensive to an investor. This can be done if you have the ability to deal with penny stocks and its components.

So when you decided to sell your stocks, you must take some things into consideration. One of the most important things that you must keep in your mind is adding these extra costs to the bid price in order to ensure at least that this price will cover extra costs, or even to aspire to achieve more gains from the sale process.

Remember you may get many benefits and features, if you know what is the price supposed to sell your stock in order to cover your costs as well as making profits for you? Also, you can make profits if you find a lot of information about penny stocks which help you to determine when you buy or sell penny stocks.

Warning! If you haven’t any knowledge about it, you might lose all your money in one process and this shows the important role of real-time information in the sale process.

By the way, some investors believe that the selling price will be tied with the purchase price without putting extra costs in their consideration so any salesperson who uses such a phrase is only telling half of the truth.

If someone knows the purchase price, does it mean that he knows the selling price also? Of course not, there is no one can determine the selling price but we can guess what is the selling price will be?

Give yourself time to think carefully about the process of investing in penny stocks and read more and more articles are provided with information necessary to helping you make a great deal of money on penny stocks.
